2008 Mardi Gras Pictures

The Mardi Gras show at the Liberty Theater in Eunice began with a nuzzling kiss from the host, a Mardi Gras who showed up in place of Dr. Barry Ancelet, to another Mardi Gras, who bore some resemblance to Claudia Wood of the National Park Service. The spirited music was provided by the T-Salé Cajun Band. The sloping dance area in front of the stage was crowded. During the middle of the show, the Basile Mardi Gras, led by Potic Rider (shown singing their Mardi Gras song at the point when he complains about his throat being dry and in need of a beer), invaded the Liberty, dancing, begging, and generally cutting up. |
